Deep River Healing Arts is a private massage practice that focuses on therapeutic work by helping patients identify the root causes of pain and discomfort. As a mixed race, queer identifying person, creating a safe space for LGBTQIA people as well as people of color is incredibly important. I specialize in and have received special training in post-mastectomy/post-top surgery care, massage for the transgender client, treatment for TMJ issues, and perinatal massage, as well as general deep tissue with a sometimes energetic component.
Massage for the transgender or non-binary client (pre/post/non op), massage for breast cancer survivors including post-mastectomy work, perinatal massage (pre and postnatal), sports massage, massage for chronic pain management, massage for TMJ and migraines.
“Yvonne is incredible! She thoroughly reviewed my medical history and current symptoms before making a plan and consistently checked in to make sure pressure, temperature, and positions were comfortable (but not in that “omg shut up I’m trying to relax” way!). She’s trans-competent and already after one session my swelling from top surgery has gone down! Can’t wait to book with her again!” – Client
“It’s a life-changing experience to meet a health practitioner who can understand and meet your needs, and gets there through obvious and genuine love. Yvonne HANDS DOWN (extremely serious massage pun) gives the best 90 min I could ever have, especially for what my severely achy body needs. She’s strong and intuitive and works my stuff out so, so deeply that I have an involuntary giggle attack by the end of each session, and I cry sometimes too–the good cry. She understands Fibromyalgia pain and chronic pain and I would think she is also my therapist because of the way she checks in and listens every visit. Go to her.” – Client
